Responsibilities:

• Scale Up Batches
• Order raw materials and lab supplies
• Prepare skincare/haircare formulation batches 
• Assist in filling products into packaging for product stability testing purposes
• Perform measurements on ingredients and formulas, including but not limited to pH, product stability, viscosity, melting point, specific gravity, microscopic evaluation
• Learn to master use of laboratory equipment and processes, required to make formulation batches, including but not limited to laboratory mixers, blenders, homogenizers, pH meters, viscometers, stability oven, packaging fillers, and sealers
• Tabulate data in Microsoft Excel, review and edit manufacturing procedures and other documents in Microsoft Word, under the direction of Senior Scientists
• Completing/maintaining the documentation pertaining lab batches/experiments.
• Must have problem solving and troubleshooting skill.
• Must be able to supervise the pilot batch and full manufacturing batches.

Qualifications:

• Previous consumer products/cosmetic industry experience a plus
• Experience with lotions, makeup, hair care, shampoo and conditioners required
• Highly computer literate; with experience with web-based data/programs, Microsoft Excel, Power Point, Word
• Self starter and responsible team player, able to handle multiple projects simultaneously, with strong willingness to learn and grow
• Excellent oral communication and organizational skills

Education Requirements:

• Bachelors degree or higher in a science related field (cosmetic science, chemistry, biochemistry, chemical engineering) preferred
