Purpose

The purpose of this role is to provide our customers with an elite level of technical and consulting expertise on the Microsoft .NET platform

Internal Relationships

·         Reports to Resource Manager

·         The role provides expertise to Human Resources for Mentoring, and to provide Technical support during the hiring process through technical evaluation of candidates

·         The role supports the Sales team (Account Managers and State Managers in pre-sales activities)

·         The role supports marketing activities and provides input to the Chief Technology Group in support of our technology roadmap

External Relationships

Microsoft, Readify Customers and the Developer Community

Pre-requisite Knowledge and Experience

Technical skill around the Microsoft .NET Platform, Developer/Programmer skills and general Consulting skills – minimum five (5) years

Key Tasks

Demonstrate technical and professional elitism and an intimate understanding of Readify solutions and standards when delivering:

Consulting

·         Skills gap analysis

·         Architecture and design advice

·         Security

·         Proof of Concept Development

·         Research and present relevant case studies around similar solutions

·         Preparing the scope for the engagement

·         Estimating delivery time frames

·         Supervising and mentoring of client staff from time to time as required

·         Detailed code reviews

·         Technical documentation around all consulting provided describing design and/or development principles used when delivering the solution

Training

·         Deliver training in a classroom or lecture style environments, to people with varying skills and experience

·         Adjust training materials to suit a specific audience

·         Regularly review feedback from each delivered training session and learn from this

·         Keeping yourself abreast of the latest innovations in technologies so you can answer questions not directly associated with the training course

General

·         Be a leader.  Simply possessing deep technical knowledge does not qualify you as a Senior Consultant.  Proactively sharing knowledge, communicating effectively, assisting others, and achieving high work ethics are all leadership qualities required of a Senior Consultant

·         Approach all Systems Development, Curriculum Development, and Marketing Support assignments as if Readify were an external paying customer.  Make sure you proactively seek out, clearly understand, and take full ownership of the user requirements, your role definition, timelines and deadlines, and technical considerations prior to commencing the engagement

·         During Internal Project assignments, communicate frequently and efficiently with the Team.  This will require daily attendance at our team meeting outlining your plan for the day, what you achieved the previous day and any issues that you might need assistance with. 

·         Actively participate in local technical forums, such as User Groups, involving Microsoft and their wider .NET community.  This includes giving presentations as well as attending

·         Comply with all logistical assistance required of Technical Staff in the field

·         Regularly review the company website, ensuring the technical content is up to date with approved content

Technical Relationships

·         Manage, maintain and develop relationships with technical experts at Microsoft and other vendors, to ensure we identify and engage in downstream technology opportunities

·         Encourage and mentor other consultants to do the same

·         Manage, maintain and develop relationships with academics and others doing R&D relevant to the Readify business to assist with our own PD undertakings
